MEGS are unlike any pair of glasses you’ve ever owned, but with proper handling and care your MEGS should last many years.
- When putting your glasses on, be careful not to pull on the Moist-Sure Shields. This can cause them to stretch and become ill-fitting.
- The removable Moist-Sure Shields should be cleaned periodically with warm water and a mild liquid detergent.
- Never leave MEGS in the glove compartment, on or near a hot surface, and avoid hot environments. Exposure to heat stretches the moist sure shield, causing them to lose their shape and efficacy.
- If your lenses fog, treat them with an anti-fogging agent (available at most auto stores). If this is an on-going problem, you might want to consider having your MEGS fitted with anti-fog lenses.
- Prescription lenses that are improperly sized will cause MEGS to not fit properly.
- When not wearing your MEGS, be sure the sidepieces of the glasses are inserted through the slit on the side.
- If your MEGS need to be tightened, take them to an eyewear professional i.e. optician.
- It’s possible to customize your MEGS with prescription, anti-glare, anti-fog, and color-treated lenses. Please refer your optician to the dispensing information located on this website under “MEGS Central – Dispensing Information”.
